Information pursuant to Article 13 of the European Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679 (GDPR)
With the entry into force of the GDPR The Italian Institute of Telemedicine, based in Solbiate Arno (VA), Via Colombera 29, as the “owner” of the processing, is required to provide some information regarding the use of personal data. The GDPR regulates the processing of personal data, i.e. any operation or set of operations, carried out even without the help of electronic means, concerning the collection, recording, organization, storage, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, dissemination, erasure and destruction of data, even if not registered in a database. The GDPR requires that the “data subject” or “person from whom personal data are collected” must be informed in advance of the following.
Source of personal data.
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this site involves the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message. No personal data of users is purposely acquired by the site. All data collected will, of course, be treated confidentially and in accordance with current regulations. The Entity undertakes to process personal data lawfully and fairly; to collect and record them for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes and to use them in other processing operations in terms not incompatible with these purposes. It also undertakes to verify that they are accurate, up-to-date, pertinent, complete and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which they are collected or subsequently processed, and to keep them in a form that permits the identification of the person concerned for a period of time not exceeding that necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or subsequently processed.
Purposes of the processing for which the data are intended.
The data subject’s personal data will be processed in the normal course of the Entity’s business and the processing will be for the purpose of fulfilling legal obligations. The legal basis for the processing is the consent of the data subject.
Nature of Provision.
The provision of personal data necessary for this purpose is optional, but any refusal to provide the data could result – in relation to the peculiar relationship between the data and the purpose for which the data are requested – in the inability of the Entity to fulfill specific legal obligations.
Methods of data processing.
In relation to the stated purposes, the processing of personal data is carried out using manual and computer tools with logic strictly related to the purposes themselves and, in any case, in such a way as to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data. In any case, the Entity ensures the protection of the processed data.
Categories of subjects to whom the data may be communicated.
In order to carry out its activities, the Entity will communicate the personal data of data subjects only and exclusively to the subjects to whom communication is obligatory by law. The subjects belonging to the categories to which the data may be communicated will use the data as “holders” under the law, in full autonomy, being unrelated to the original processing carried out at the Entity.
Transfer of data to third countries or international organizations
The European Data Protection Regulation requires that data subjects be informed when their data are transferred to third countries (countries outside the EU or the European Economic Area: Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein) or international organizations. As the data controller, the company informs data subjects that their data are stored only on systems located in Italy.
Rights of the data subject
We would also like to inform you that Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR grant data subjects the exercise of specific rights. To exercise your rights with the Data Controller, you can address your request to the following email address: info@iitelemed.org
